Hi Steve!
Thanks for putting together resources to learn Cisco in an easy, pragmatic, and inexpensive format.
I’m new to Cisco stuff. I’m considering a lateral career change from being a jr. level network analyst / pc troubleshooter / IT deployment specialist, to a Cisco Certified Professional.
I have over 15 years of IT experience, yet no certs in anything. I’ve taken Novell training 10 years ago, have a couple of pc hardware certs that are 8 years old, some formal electronic training, but I truly need to update my skill set. I figured as long as I was at studying and forking out cash for resources and exams, I might as well get certified in something that is lucrative and in demand.
Looks like Cisco just came out with the CCENT cert. Was wondering if you had a CBT that covers the CCENT?
Or, if you thought I’d be better off skipping the CCENT all together, and just start out doing the CCNA course?
I’m looking for the best bang for my buck as possible, so I can convince prospective employers I’m really as good theoretically as I am practically. I thought about getting Comp TIA and Comp NW certs, but… I already have enough hands on, and Comp seems like they just increased the test criteria, and are more pricey.
Please feel free to offer any suggestions at all, including any recommended adjunct Cisco career paths that are in demand and easier to obtain.
Lastly, please differentiate which of the two CBT packages that you offer, that would be better for a brand new newbie like me, to purchase. One of my buddies bought one of your CBT packages about two months ago, is very satisfied with his purchase, and suggested I drop you a line.
Thanks Steve!

Hello,
Thanks for the kind words on my blog. I really appreciate it. Trust me, I know exactly where you are in your career, I have been there before and would love to help you and many other people out who need some help.
The CCENT is a great beginner Cisco Cert and I think it would be a great starting point for you. It helps take some slack off the CCNA when you go for the ICND test. It breaks up the CCNA into two parts, which I think is the best way to go for it.
I offer 80 complete videos with this package below and it is by far the most popular by all my customers:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140499561847&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT
I have remastered the 80 videos to provide you with crystal clear audio and video. I also have formatted the videos in .MP4 file format so that you can watch them on your Ipad or other tablet PCs which supports .MP4 file format.
I have had over 300 customers worldwide in just 6 months so you can buy with confidence. I am going to take the CCIE R&S lab exam in about two weeks. This will be my second chance so wish me luck!
Again, please thank your friend for me for his kind words too. It really goes along way and is the whole reason I started making videos in the first place which is to provide top quality training at a very affordable price to everyone.
Thanks again and if you need any help please let me know,
Steve Bowler

Hi Steve,
Any chance of releasing a lower cost package targeted just at the CCENT / CCNA level?
Thanks
